total earthquake like 30 minutes ago.

i survived and engineering made our apartment rock gently. nothing fell over in our place although i see somethings came close.

also say NIN play I'm Afraid of Americans this weekend. That was sweet.

How do I get to sleep now? IDK.

I am jealous of you! That sounds like a good earthquake to experience.

Engineers and geologists make up the majority of people who would be super excited to be in the middle of an earthquake ;)

I was totally there with my engineering hat on because you could look downthe stairs from our spot in the doorways upstairs and see how floors move slightly differently.

I knew the building had been built in the 1940s by the military so I knew that the foundation was built surrounded [or something] by some material that would allow the building to 'roll' with the earth. So freaking weird to experience though. And its weird to hear how things are moving NOT in time with where you are in a doorway.

Its so creepy to be in a building that's rocking and creaking and you're hoping it doesn't just rock all the way over.
