I am sitting here on my porch, slightly drunk from a night of drinking wine, hence my train of thought and looseness and sensitivity to just about everything...Anways, I am smoking a cigarette right now, which I tend to hold a small addiction to only when I drink. i smoke because i have an oral fixation and the alternative is constantly eating, so i figure black lungs are better than 50 extra pounds.

That"companionship" you are referring to is nicotine acting as a drug. It actually does give you a buzz, but it is a more intense buszz than jut standing up too quickly. It affects your emotional state. Hence, cigarette addiction. Welcome aboard.

That being said, your post made me really anxious and uncomfortable. Well written. I felt like I was coming down from coke.

I think i can relate to what you mean.
Also, I am now a non-smoker, but I can't kick the addiction when I drink either.
