Overdue Update
Realizing I haven't updated in a while makes me sad so here!
Ever since I've bought the Golf I've been getting more and more satisfied each day. The ride is a lot more comfortable and the cabin is a lot quieter than the Jeep is. I even got to take it on it's first road trip to a Pokemon tournament in Atlanta which let me show off the lol wut mileage it gets. From Florida to Atlanta on half a tank. 8) Chyeah.

Picked up a nice replica Wolfsburg plate. Have yet to mount it to the car D:
Missed the Golf turning over 100k. Came up quick as it had about 97k on it when I first got it.
Had the fun of battling my first ever vehicle fire. An older minivan had an electrical problem which caused the engine to catch fire. Arrived a few mins after it started where unfortunately my extinguisher was no match for the engulfed engine compartment. Thankfully the guy hadnt fully opened the hood and just cracked it. Kinda makes me worried should I ever have the issue seeing how ineffective it was in putting it out. Im guessing its pretty much a "holy shit car JUST caught on fire" device. It was awesome to see the firement put it out in seconds as they just WTF unloaded a shitload of water into the engine.
It had been a long time since ive attended a pokemon event so it was fun to experience the nerdyness of pokemon serious business IRL. Had fun driving up with sophiecabra and raspberryroo. We dressed up for the event like the losers we are but damn was it fun! We all got our asses handed to us but we still had fun just grinding on the way up getting our pokemans ready. Raspberry wrote up a nice LJ entry of the trip :D Click Me :D

Also got to demo the new Sprint Evo at work for possible deployment. It's an awesome improvement over the Hero in terms of speed and screen size however it also has my personal limiting factor of no physical keyboard. The only on-screen keyboard ive ever been able to use without issues is the one on the iPhone. Still awesome to see apps on the gifrickengantic screen though.
One of the fun things of work is getting to know the different executives and peeps. Our track president always likes to call me directly for stuff which im fine with as he has done a lot for me in terms of helping out with credentials and other items. He recently approached me about fixing the navigation system on his boat as after a heavy storm, the depth finder started reading funny. He invited me over on the weekend to take a look and go for a cruise with beers. Was my first time out on a boat so it was pretty cool.
Reloaded the firmware and rebooted the system which fixed the issue :D
Driving into work early. I love my drive as I pretty much just set the cruise control and hold the steering wheel.
Went to Heartwoods party and had fun as usual. That boy sure can throw a party. :D
Attended my 3rd track day last weekend before AC. Lots of fun but damn was it hot. it was over 110 degrees in the shade which just made the weekend brutal. Due to the Jeep still being out of commission, I borrowed a small single rail motorcycle trailer to tow with the Golf.
Poured down rain after I got everything setup.

Lots of stuff packed into a short amount of time. This weekend is also packed as I ended up being able to goto AC after all. Many thanks to kryphos, bluefoxiecat, and mangusu for making it possible. :)
