Harry's Hands
Draco loved the way Harry’s hands smelled.
The aroma of bacon and onions would stay on Harry’s fingers long after they had eaten the Sunday breakfast he insisted on cooking the muggle way.
After an exhausting day of teaching when Harry would slam the front door, throw off his cloak and stomp off with the cold wind still in his hair, Draco would take a quiet moment to inhale the odor of polish and wood that lingered from his touch before following him down the hallway.
When they argued, Draco would become intoxicated by the electrical scent of magic that crackled louder than the fire and came from Harry’s own clenched fists.
His favorite, though, was when they lay in bed, and Harry’s knuckles would brush his sweaty cheek, because then he could turn his face into Harry’s palm and breathe in the essence of their shared lovemaking.
Mostly, Draco thought, Harry smelled like home.
