I know what you mean about thinking how much younger you are then your sisters friends. I talk to a lot of her friends and we get along fantastically well. (Is that a word? Probably not.) But at the end of the day I just realize how young I am still. They're all big and bad 21 year olds and I'm still the 18 year old who hasn't gone clubbing, bought cigarettes, gotten a tattoo... etc.

Exactly. It's one of those things that kind of limit you - the age barrier. There aren't many social conventions I actually agree with, but this one makes sense. I think if there wasn't an age barrier, there would be no anticipation, no prolonging of adolescence. There has to be some rite of passage before you exceed that barrier, and that's what age is here to guide you in. Now, whether or not you're actually mature enough at 21 to do all the things legally offered is another matter...some people act below their age, which is, in my opinion, worse than acting above it... a lot worse.

<3 of course, YOU, on the other hand do not and will not ever have that problem because you are "fantastically" mature :D
