Rain and a big headache

Cold and rainy. Yee-haw. Bring it on. Had to get out of bed way too early this morning to do the first part of ACLS training. Second part is Thurs at 8 a.m. which should be fun after working all night. Had to go to a code the other night. Hadn't been to one in a few months and it was a good break in the slow night we were having. Don't get ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about all the bruhaha at work...funny, reading your story reminded me of one of my own, which I'm sure you'll commiserate... I used to be a nurses aide, and an elderly man began choking on a throatful of mucous and lettuce at dinner. (yeah, it grosses me the hell out too) So, he's turning blue and gagging, and I rush over, pull him up to a standing position, and do the Heimlich. He spews out phlegm and lettuce all over the place, then turns around and looks at me in a most annoyed manner- like *I* was _bothering_ him!!!! Sits back down without saying a word, and continues shoveling salad into his face. Good grief ( ... )

Oh yeah, that's your typical patient. Annoyed that you helped them! Reading your story was making me gag! That's how bad I am! I probably would have passed out if I saw that mixture of lettuce and phlegm...aaahhhh.

I am so excited another book is coming out and I'll have to pick up "Lyra's Oxford". Although I want to start reading Eldest next. I have a ton of books ready to be read!

I really, really, really hope Jason plays Asriel. Ah, another character to drool over.....

Wow, talk about coincidence....after having this conversation with you, doesn't my husband's cousin choke on a piece of ring bologna last night...I was never so scared in my life- my heart was in my throat!!! Thank god she got it out. It was really lodged in her throat. Terrible!

Did you see Jason in Peter Pan as Mr.Darling/Captain Hook?
I really liked that remake- it had more darkness to it than any other Peter Pan version I've seen.

I picked up Eldest over the summer, but have a pile of about 10 books to read, and haven't gotten to it yet. =) You'll have to let me know how you like it- I've heard good things about it.
