[Owl to Kenneth, Elisabeth, and Penelope Bulstrode"]
My dear family,
Thank you so much for my lovely gifts. Mum and Dad, I'm sitting on my bed looking at the picture you gave me, not quite believing it's mine. Your seventeen-year-old selves are even now smiling and waving at me, as if happy knowing their likeness now belongs to me. I'm amazed again how I don't favour either of you in looks, but rather am a combination of both of you. I hope I inherited other attributes as well. I'd like to think I have some of your creativity, Dad (although I think that Lopi inherited the lion's share of that), and at least a little of your intuition and empathy, Mum.
Lopi, your story is beautiful. I've read it twice already. It breaks the endless cycle of homework and more homework quite joyously. I've never been a main character in a story before. I hope the happy ending you put forth comes to pass, for all of us.
I know I don't say it enough, but I love you all, and I miss you very much.
Love,
Millicent
[Private to Draco]
Draco, you lovely thing, you. Thank you for the gifts. I'm terribly sorry to have disappeared the last couple of nights; homework is getting quite difficult to keep up with. Perhaps you can distract me later on?
[Private to Pansy]
Pansy, dear, I can't tell you how much your gift means to me. I've been feeling rather helplessly overwhelmed recently, although I'll never admit it except to you. This charm gives me confidence that I can somehow help Draco, should he need it. Thank you, so very much.
