~*~Extra~*~

If you were stranded on a desert Island, what 5 things would you bring?

Hmmm.... stranded, huh? I'm hoping it's a voluntary kind of stranding...

  1. My sketchbook- I love to draw, and this would probably prevent the crazy, not to mention useful for keeping track of how many days I've been there, the weather, writing, etc.

  2. A nice leatherman Juice XE6! I've always wanted a leatherman, and the only swiss army knife I've got is an old, worn out one that used to be my dad's. But I would take it, if it was all I had.

  3. My Dover Dragons hoodie. That full-zip sweater has gone EVERYWHERE with me. Couldn't think of NOT bringing it with me to the island. Even if I did end up putting a hole in it, I'd patch it up (or find someone who could) when I got home. Then it would have stories to go with it! Ha ha!

  4. A jar of peanut butter. Can't get that on a desert island, now can 'ya?

  5. Tea. Duh. This is a must-have item that would be hard to live without. There's nothing truly like it in the universe. No, not even that drink that tastes like, but is not quite unlike tea. Must be the real thing, dangit!

Describe yourself in one word: ebullient!

Which element do you most identify with? (come on people... Don't just pick the element of your favorite scout... be honest!!)
Hmmm.... I generally identify with air, as it's always been my favourite element, and I am an air sign. I love the wind in my hair, facing into it, the breeze off the ocean, the warm summer wind, the spring breeze through my apartment, the smell of smoke in the fall and winter on the air... and I'm fairly easy-going. However, when I do Taekwondo, I identify with fire! (TKD is a striking martial art, and our style is fire-based.)

Are you an energetic person or are you a lower energy level kind of person?
I generally have tons of energy! I have my lowest energy when I'm sick.

Do you act more on impulse or do you tend to think things through?
Oh, good lord. I think 'til the cows come home! I think before I do ANYTHING! I've actually been told I think too much at times in TKD. Walking the fine line between thought and emptiness is extremely difficult.

Got any dreams or aspirations?
Yep! I'm hoping to test for my First Degree in TKD this year (probably April). I've been studying for four years, and I'm currently a Danbo (half-red, half-black belt, aka, poom belt, aka preliminary black belt). I want to become a national competitor at least every other year (the competitons get expensive), and I want to own my own little yellow house with a shady back yard with lots of maple trees. And a hammock. Of course, I still dream of finding “the one just for me” despite having just gone through some serious heartbreak. My faith tends to run deeper than I give myself credit for. (Dunno whether that's a curse or a blessing.) I also wanna learn how to kyak and go whenever I want. Currently, I'm trying to get better at running... trying this couch to 5k thing.

What would you say is your motto? Be prepared!

What motivates you to start your day?
It depends. Generally, it's TKD, or something TKD-related. Sometimes, I just wake up with a lot of energy and feel happy, and BOOM! I'm off! Other times, I just DON'T want to get up. XD Don't wanna leave dreamland.
