More boonies exploration

I don't understand why people pay high prices to live in the boonies. If you can afford high prices, why not live in the city, or somewhere where there is transit and stuff to do? Before, the only reason to live in Surrey or wherever the hell is because it was cheap (or you were a drug dealer and didn't want a long commute). Now, there is no reason.

Fucking A, LOL...drug dealers not wanting a long commute. "Yo, my entrepreneurial business is located near the border, just like those real import/export agencies"...hahahaha

Ever think about those Hospital lotteries? "Do you want the house in South Surrey or the $1,000,000 in cash?"

Yeah, I'll take the cash and buy a modest house somewhere in the actual city of Vancouver, thank you.

Usually, living in BFE is supposed to be the cheaper option. I think that's one of those fucked up things about Vancouver. It's cheaper to rent an apartment in the West End than it is in White Rock.

I've always thought that about the hospital lotteries. I'd love to win a house--sweet. But in bumfuck nowhere? No thanks. Before, you didn't have the option of getting cash or an alternate prize, so winning the house in South Surrey or Abbotsford or where ever would suck, because you'd be stuck with this million dollar house, can't live in it, have to pay ridiculous property taxes on it, and if you sell it, pay capital gains tax, as well as a realtor's fee. It would end up costing you at least $30,000! Great prize!

It's cheaper to rent an apartment in the West End than it is in White Rock.

Now that's just wrong.
