So, the hubs and I took a trip out to Jackson Hole. It was very possibly the most beautiful place I've ever been. We hit it at the right time of year - before the snow and after the summer tourists. The aspens were brilliant and it looked as if someone had painted huge swaths of gold down the faces of the mountains. We spent time in Yellowstone

#4 - I love Aspens! My dad calls them trash trees because they grow all over CO and they are hard to kill but I love the way their leaves shimmer when the wind blows. I've never seen them in the Fall but I bet they are gorgeous.

Aspens are God's gift to us for ending summer. The gold is iridescent with the fall light on a hillside. And the cameras you see at Yellowstone, especially around the wolves can make anybody envious. Wildlife photography is a very expensive hobby, one that we biologists can't afford even though we get the best opportunities :-)
