you are NOT a horrible person!!! This is so so exciting ;) Valerie, I have a friend (we'll call her C) who is going through something almost exactly. Well, ok maybe not exactly, but ALMOST exactly. They also have only been dating for like 3 weeks now and C has some past relationship issues that plague her as well. Makes her scared of commitment and getting to close. MAFIA to the boys who make both of you feel that way! :) C's new man said something that made her uncomfortable and she wanted to push him away. Instead, after much coaching she opened up and talked to him about her feelings on the matter and explained why she was acting the way she was. Told him she'd been hurt and wasn't ready to go down that road again. He listened (which since you talk to your man EVERYDAY makes me think he's a great listener also) and they have addressed the situation. All is better. You don't want jerkface to ruin what you could have, so just be open and honest. If it scares you, be honest with him but you can do that without telling him all the
