did you go see teenage fanclub? if so, how was it?

you up for the pipettes coming up? the long blondes are playing some shows soon too if you wanna check them out.

TFC were pretty great: they played the whole of the new LP from start to finish, plus all their hits in reverse chronological order. We were way up the front so it was quite a rambunctious affair, but definitely worth it.

Pipettes? Oh yes. What's the deal?

Can I not even tempt *you* to The La's?

man that sounds great. i still haven't gotten to the idea that it's june yet. i should've tried harder to go.

see, i should know the la's better, but i don't. if you can't find anyone else to take the ticket by next week, i will take it off your hands. i'm sure it's my type of thing.

That place in Islington is *horrible*, I don't suppose I'll be going. Man your pipette-love is unquenchable. I guess the new 45 is out any day now too.

The La's LP & associated 45s are great; just pure harmonic/melodic jangle pop with passion & attitude. But that was 15 years ago. It remains to be seen what they have become. And that's why I'm excited about the show.

It's weird. When these shows were announced, nothing seemed less likely than The La's reforming to play some select dates around the UK. Now it appears that no-one is interested. When I mentioned the show to some friends earlier this evening they all kinda stifled (badly) their chortles that I'd even consider such a thing.

Well, i'm still terribly excited about it. So it's just you & me hon.
