Kiddy book signing in Waterstones Piccadilly. Queued up at 6.30am on monday morning to get a wristband (which I had to wear from that time until approx 1 hour ago), which allowed "priority" entrance to the signing. Still meant I had to queue up again today for another two hours, but Jesus Christ it's Paul McCartney. I actually squealed when I first saw him at the signing desk. I was very very excited. wow, my partner in music making would be very jealous too!
There's a chippy in new cross which macca visited once, you can get a paul mccartney special from there which is a portion of chips and a pickled onion.
I had the opportunity to meet andy mcclusky the other week but declind (the band he's managing were supporting the pipettes), knew I would probably make a fool of myself wittering on about dazzle ships!

I'm sure Andy would *love* to have a conversation about Dazzle Ships; seriously. I think he feels somehow cheated that it isn't held in higher regard by the general public (probably goes for their entire career, in fact).
What's the band he's managing? Is this the combo that supported the Pipettes at the 100 club a few weeks back? I arrived too late to see 'em, but reports weren't positive...

You and hddod both. Can't imagine you queuing overnight like she did, though.

Not quite, though when I called waterstones on sunday afternoon and the fella said "there are quite a few people queueing already" it did cross my mind. I arrived in the queue at 6.30am for 7.30, much more sociable hours. I bet there was some camaraderie in that queue at around 4am though...

I owe him an apology for leaving bisonwife in my car blocking his drive while I popped into the Europa a while back....

Man, I am so envious of you right now!

Any word from Julian on the new Hit Parade album?

No word from Julian for yonks; he's a difficult man to pin down, y'know. His website still indicates a release date of autumn 2005. I guess we'll have to be patient...
