[there's a constant background noise a little like a steady rainfall on an umbrella. ...exactly like, in fact.]

But you know, I actually kind of like the rain.

I guess I'll probably go to the laundromat soon.

No, I don't think so. It wouldn't really make sense if rain were somehow understood to be objectively unpleasant.
