Aventura is a manga by Shin Midorikawa that revolves around Lewin Randit, a rather loud and excitable redhead who has just been accepted into the Gaius School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At this school there are two groups; the Swordsmanship and Wizardry Classes. Upon entering the school students are prompted to choose one class or the other, and will study accordingly to their chosen "major" of sorts. From that point on the Wizardry and Swordsmanship students are completely separated from one another; only mingling in a few parts of the school.

While exploring the campus library, Soela Evenport who will be your epic!Moe for the series falls into Lewin’s life... Literally. it turns out that her and fellow Wizardry Class student Chris Cottenburg are looking for books to help them on their newest assignment. Much more random cute ensues later and soon the trio becomes inseparable.

Aaand now we move onto the professors~!

First we meet Qualfer Riventzel, AKA Riv, one of the teachers for the Swordsmanship Class. He might look nice, but the mysterious man has quite the icy personality... Not to mention that eerie mask on his face and the fact that he can control nature and humans themselves. Thanks to this he is feared by almost all of his students... Long story short? Riv is awesome. And he kicks ass at chess.

The other main professor is Chesford Arshes, a teacher from the Wizardry class who is also Riv’s bff childhood friend. He’s a bit of a spaz who fails at chess is loved by practically all of his students thanks to his friendly nature. And the fact that he bakes for them. Aaanyway Arshes’ specialty is magical barriers.

Together these two make pretty much the most badass magic duo ever. Oh, and they have quite the amusing relationship. Arshes cuts Riv’s hair (yes, that’s right) and Riv... Thinks Arshes is an idiot.

He's really an interesting character! They haven't revealed much about his past (or mask) yet, but I'm hoping they will soon... /crosses fingers

I have a thing for mysterious characters plus it doesn't hurt that Riv is nice on the eyes!

There are quite a few more awesome characters in the series; ranging from the pretty school nurse to the winged cat-witch. I won’t say or show more because of possible spoilers, but if you check out the 3 current manga volumes you can read more.

Fun characters aside this series is full of heart-warming fun and drama at the same time... And if you haven’t noticed the art is pretty gorgeous. Sadly this manga still has a VERY small following (I know of two other people who read it), but hopefully I’ve gotten some more people into the adorable manga that is Aventura!
