ambling through the day's preamble

This morning on my walk to the subway, I was thinking what a beautiful thing it is to make that 25 minute passage every morning. I drive an hour to and from work every day, and tend to look inwardly instead of outwardly -- so much so that I've gotten lost twice on a route I travel hundreds of times a year. :) Your description is wonderful, and it reminds me that I should look up, out, and around more often.

Boston has long been known to be the country's best city to walk in. When I visited there, I got around by foot almost exclusively, taking only the T when going to far off places (like Harvard Square).

It's so nice there this time of year, isn't it?
