My friends all have lists of the top 5 things that they hate. It can be anything in the world, from something specific (a certain movie/song/book) to something really broad (my best girlfriend hates fruit for instance, which just cracks me up, but that's a whole other story). For a while they've been bugging me for my list. I have trouble coming up ( Read more... )

Interesting list. I think the hardest part for me would be limiting it to five items. So much hate, so little time :)

Tomatoes, really? My co-worker, Jeremy, hates tomatoes too but yet he likes pizza with tomato sauce.

I remember Nick Lowe has a song called "I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass." I guess that song wasn't written by you then eh?

Uh, what is Coldplay?

Coldplay = Canadian band that has struck it big in the last year or two; music often likened to that of Radiohead, though I personally like it better than Radiohead (except very old Radiohead) because I find that it is more melodious; many people find Coldplay obnoxious, which is fine, though I personally don't

:) I, too, like pizza sauce and other forms of tomato sauce, and I really love ketchup. It's really the raw form that gets me, though I can't say I'd want to eat a big bowl of stewed tomatoes either.

This is so weird. I was reading an article last night about this band called Idlewild. In it, they mentioned Coldplay!

Last night I was corrected. Coldplay isn't Canadian. I thought they were because of a stupid inference I made--my old roommate was Canadian, and she loved Coldplay, and the way she talked about the band really led me to believe part of her love for them was national pride. Whoops!

Ha! These are funny. And interesting! Who knew the tomato could be so malicious. Well, it is a variety of Deadly Nightshade, so there you have it.

Deadly Nightshade??? That certainly sounds ominous. Hmmm. Maybe I read something about that as a small child, and that explains my aversion?

Uno: I feel this way about dates -- the fruit, not the event.
Dos: I feel this way about people who do not signal, and rather, stop in the middle of the road before making a turn.
Tres: I feel this way about folks who don't understand elevator etiquette. I have to get OFF the elevator before you can get on it, you know?
Vier: I feel this way about the sound of metal scraping on plates or teeth.
Funf: Mini-coupers do this to me. Don't know why.
