My initial idea hasn't been working out, but I thought I had a backup... but I can't find the file from the story I was going to do in '11, which is only on a flash drive (computer died)... and I can't find the flash drive.

I am forestalling panic by just walking away now, but I am going to hate myself when I find the flash drive first thing tomorrow (or something equally frustrating). In the meanwhile, I'll keep poking at the original idea and maybe it will be ready for next year. ^__^

Thank you for running this big bang. I wish you and all participants great luck and much fun, and I look forward to reading.

Aww I am so sorry to hear this :( If you do find the flash drive before the art claim post goes up and you want back in just let me know. I'm being very flexible as I figure my way around :D

And this is my day: I just found the flash drive. I couldn't stop looking and I am so glad for that, because now I can move the file into a doc and send it your way.

Thank you for your flexibility. I have answered the other poll now.

(Actually, after the picnic this afternoon, I did pretty much the exact same thing with my keys (different locations), so my persistence today has been doubly rewarded).

I'm at 10k, the story arc done, but I have some revisions I want to make and a little fleshing out to do. Overall, I'm satisfied with what I have so far. It's been really fun getting back into the Smallville fandom! I missed it.

I'm afraid i have to drop out. I've got enough for the rough draft, but I'm still only about a quarter through with the story, and I haven't written a single word for it since I started my new job back at the beginning of July. Maybe i could pull my act together and get it finished in time, but I'd rather not risk it, since it wouldn't be fair to the artist that claimed me.

I'm around 11K now and reckon the final fic will be about 17K. Still a lot of writing to go but its firming up.

Looking for a beta!

I'm past the limit, but I haven't gotten a lot done in the last month, and I'll be getting less writing done this month overall unless things go very well with my research/thesis writing. I'm currently planning on writing up a "short ending" for it quickly (getting it to a point where it's tied up enough to be an ending to the fic) in case I don't get to the original ending point I'd planned on by the 20'th. (Basically, this could easily become two or more fics, as is the bane of most of my fanfic writing stuffs for Smallville...) So, I'm sticking with it, but, yeah... ^_^;;

I am definitely wishing that I'd not posted that 20K+ monster from a couple weeks ago and just left it as a backup instead *lol!* :)
