Several years after the finale, when Lex is president and Clark is a reporter, Lex has trouble remembering much of his life and looks into his time in Smallville. He is also obsessed with finding out Superman's identity, and when he finds out Superman is Clark Kent, who was in Smallville when he was, Lex wants to know if they knew each other back then, because he is paranoid that Superman was casing him as a youth or something like that. So Lex tries to find out - maybe kidnapping and forcible mindreading technology or alien truth serum or something -- or a lighter direction with Lex asking Clark Kent, White House reporter, leading questions and figuring things out because Clark is still a bad liar. (A nice optional thing would be if Lex's mind is blown when he discovers that he and Superman used to sleep together).

Basic Plot:
Lex stayed on the straight & narrow path, trying to be a good man in Clark’s eyes. As the years have passed Lex becomes very aware that Clark is keeping something from him that is big, but up until then has not investigated Clark. Lex contemplates investigating Clark when Lex falls asleep in the library in the mansion and dreams of his mother. She tells him that he has a choice & the possibility of two destinies. She kisses him on the head & the visions overtake him.
