First thing before you answer the poll and email me the artist claiming is suppose to go up on the 6th, it won't. My great uncle died last week and the 6th is his funeral so I will be attending that. Artist claiming will go up on the 8th. Thanks for understanding

Real life has been challenging lately, and whilst things have definitely improved, my writing time has been compromised. Regrettably I'll have to pull out of the Smallville Big Bang this year, but I aim to continue working on my story so that I can submit it for 2015... if you'll let me.

I do apologise for not letting you know sooner. I was hoping to pull a couple of all-nighters and just pound it all out, but it's just not happening. :-(

Of course I understand. Sometimes these things happen. I'm still not sure about my story, cause I'm convinced I can get to the word count before I need to post the artist claiming on the 8th, so I completely understand.

I am happy to allow it for next year big bang, just make sure you share it with no one, other than a beta, before now and then. There will be a poll at the end of this round to determine a time frame so feel free to watch out for it and give an opinion.

Sorry, I'm going to have to add myself to the list of people dropping out (for both stories), life has decided to be difficult lately and I haven't had the time or motivation to work on either of my stories.

But I'm super excited to see what everyone else has come up with!

Yeah, I'm in a pickle.

My computer is both infected and has a hardware problem so I have not been able to write anything for two weeks since I've spent all my free time trying to fix it (it's done the blue screen of death about twenty times now) and now since I can't fix it myself, it's going away for to be fixed and I'm crossing my fingers that I get it back in a timely fashion (it's going to a friend so I'm at the mercy of her schedule) and also hoping I don't lose my files. There's been talk about wiping it clean, and no, I hadn't bought the back up hard drive I had my eye on. :0

So yeah, I'm doing a bit of freaking out but I'm not ready to quit yet. I might still be able to send a draft since I emailed one to myself a while back, so at least I'll have only lost the more recent stuff. Plus I preclaimed myself as the artist so that gives me some breathing space (Though I'm freaked I might lose all the artwork).

So yeah, that's where I'm at.

That's fine. As you are your own artist you have more time to make your decision. I'll understand either way of course.

Computer problems are the worst though. The blue screen is the worst thing every invented! Hopefully you haven't lost your artwork though, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
