I'm voting absentee and got my lil goodie packet in the mail today. I still haven't decided on the pres issue (whether to vote my conscience - 3rd party, or otherwise

I don't always vote for Democrats or Republicans. This time I had to decide to vote for Republicans in the primary, even though I didn't even want a few of them.
Understandably....but would you rather have less choice in the primaries or in the general election? From what I read of the voter's pamphlet only 2 people move on to the general election
I'm only sure about two right now. NO on both I 884 and Ref 55.
Ref 55 really pisses me off and I can't even believe we are having to vote on this....again. I'd be concerned but hopefully the people of Washington will continue to vote as they have in the past. I still have some faint glimmer of hope in this state's education system. I love it here and I DON'T want to move to California to find a decent teaching job!
I'm still on the fence about I 872, and I'm leaning towards a YES vote on I 884 but not sure yet. I like the fact that a lot of the funds for education will be given to early childhood programs like the one I work in. So many Head Start and ECEAP programs are folding due to lack of funding and they are so vital to kids who's family are at the poverty level. I've turned out kids who are so poor their shoes have been glued and duct taped together, but they are some of the most successful kids in their kindergarten and 1st grade classes.
The others I don't feel that strongly about the others though. I think I-892 sucks because I know there will be people who just throw their money away on that shit. The Lotto was crated for educational funding alone and money from that goes to all sorts of things besides education. I think the same thing will happen here.
