Back from Pennsic. Forgot to get details on and then set up voice-posting. Probably just as well, as I ran out my cell phone battery halfway through the week - forgot my watch, so it was my oly timepiece.

Learned some things - for example, that forging a knife doesn't make my arms or hands hurt, but boy, rough on the old feet. Caught up with ( Read more... )

Even spray-on SPF 50 is not enough for me. I would DIE if I went to Pennsic. Which is not to say I don't desperately want to.

I have a stick like that. It's called my Editorial Assistant.

Seriously. We ran out of sunblock Friday morning, and I managed to pack out without getting more than somewhat red. And this year, parts of me are even still fishbelly pale, rather than a uniform "light fell on me through my clothes" pink.

I always being a camera, but I never end up taking pictures. There's seldom one thing that really seems to scream for it, and I don't have many places to keep a camera, etc.

I still haven't convinced myself to leave the camera at home, but it pretty much lives in camp. I'm terrible like that.

A friend took some photos, though, maybe I can wheedle something out of him.

Sounds like a smashing time.

Of the three names, I like 'Persuader' the most. Perhaps 'Gentle Persuasion'? "If'n ya don't have those fees, well, maybe I can use a little Gentle Persuasion to remind ya of where yer cash is."

It does have a ring to it.

(The question is, wouldn't the gas cost of going all the way out to Indiana to tap on their door with Gentle Persuasion not just eat up all the fees I'd be collecting once there?)
