How do I end up with knots in my facial hair?

And I'm not talking tangles, here. I mean multiple individual hairs with nice, tight half-hitches near the ends. Do I need to leave milk out for the piskies, or something?

I think you need to soak your beard in milk for the piskies. Or in beer. Whichever.

See, I think that would make sleeping next to impossible... and be hell on my pillow.

[Totally off topic. But this seemed slightly more on topic than your ikea post.]

It doesn't sound like you've done cat toys in a bit, but I have an insight from the bat for you for next time -- when given copious amounts of cat attention, the polyfil starts to emerge through the crochet as a sort of fuzz halo. Fabric scraps or something would look better longer. [The bat still survives. It's just well loved.]

I'd believe it. The first batch were filled with carded wool, which I think held up better. In future, I'll see about avoiding the poly for the (non-white at least) kitty toys.

Glad to hear Iris is getting her mileage out of it, at least. ;)
