It was ragnvaeig who found his ActBlue page. From there, I just found myself too curious to resist following along.
Besides which, unfortunately, the yelling managed to dominate the news cycle after the speech. The media were even commenting on their own short attention span in focusing on the "You lie!" rather than, y'know, the content and accuracy of the speech itself. So in a way, I'm play right along...
Highly unlikely, I'm afraid. Though I'll admit, now that congressmen are spouting the same lies that were spoonfed to citizens, it's becoming easier to point out how inaccurate they are. Even Fox News had to admit that the President wasn't lying. If only the Democrats didn't have such conservative elements under their umbrella, they could just push through a start on their own, but nooooo...
Obama said in his speech that he wants to be the last President to tackle health care. I hope that's not the case, because I don't think we can do more than get started in this generation. And we'll be lucky to do that.
*nod* I kind of hope that universal health care passes, soon, the Repubs get pissed, and then they get despondent as the rest of the nation rejoices, life goes on, and no one is forced to burn their bible, shoot their grandma, hand in their gun, and burn a flag. So next year, if it looks like it'll rain on election day, they'll just not bother.

Obama said in his speech that he wants to be the last President to tackle health care. I hope that's not the case, because I don't think we can do more than get started in this generation. And we'll be lucky to do that.
