These are signs seen primarily at Tea Party Protests. They all feature "creative" spelling or grammar. This new dialect of the English language shall be known as "Teabonics."

Some of these are just oopses and the sign versions of typos. But some... I mean, damn. Mainly, I just want to spread the practice of calling this sort of thing "

Not exactly scholarly, are they?

Sure, link away - it's not my find, after all...

I'd actually really love to read a scholiast policy. Taxes in ancient Greece sort of intrigued me.

In that particular one, weren't they going for "stimulus"?

I can think of at least two groups that would nominate you for the Nobel.

I'm afraid not. I may disagree with what these people are trying to say, but I will defend to the death their right to make asses of themselves trying to say it.

The tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the red ink of correction.

This explains why they want cuts in public education. Obviously, it did them no good, why should it do anyone else any good?

:( I am perhaps one of the world's worst spellers, and at least I can go "Dang, that doesn't look right" and then make Dr.McS spell it correctly for me. Or you know, use a computer. They're magic!

More accurately, they obviously didn't put much stock in at the time, and nothing ever corrected them. Blech.

I think the thing for me is, it's a big crowd. You'd think someone would quickly point out "Bro, yor for'n'rs shud larn Anglish sign is all misspelled", and the author would be too mortified to carry it. I mean, some of those, the people are obviously just not good spellers. Some of them are probably just because painting in letters is different from writing a note. But that a group fails to catch it? Scary.

Now, me, I want to start showing up at teabaggings with really crazy signs and seeing how long I can get away with it. Maybe something dumb and misspelled on one side, and "I'm with stupid" on the front, arrows pointing everywhere...
