Knitting follies

I know now why I had loose stitches all along the sides of the swatch I posted the other day. Apparently, as I go along, I work slack to the loop on the left needle - so instead of having any loose stitches, I just have all the extra yarn on the last loop.

Knitting tight isn't a problem so long as you can knit two stitches together without issue. You will need to loosen up when you cast off though. Try switching to a larger needle (+2-3 size) then. But yeah, picking up the slack of stitches that you are knitting into isn't a good idea.
