I figure the pinkie should work on the same principle as the thumb gore - get to where the finger should be, slip some stitches to waste yarn, CO for the gap, move on. From there, the others should be a matter of picking up and casting on, I think.
::nods:: That's roughly my understanding. I'd, you know, poke patterns, rather than trust my "but I've known a lot of knitters!" knowledge, but yes. ;^)
It involved sitting down and trying to solve for three variables in only two equations, but I think I've found a workable solution that isn't just "Eh, her pinkie's about this big."
Well, the pattern included nothing for fingers... so I needed to calculate that if I were casting on x stitches between fingers, what's my divisor on the 48 stitches such that I can get 4 equal sets, considering that the stitches I cast on will count toward the fingers on either side, but the outer fingers won't have any extra stitches case on, etc.
I'm incredibly jealous, because that is going to be such a gorgeous pair of gloves when you're done, and I can't even produce an acceptable swatch. Yet.
If it helps, it involved many hours of knitting to get this far, and several rounds of undoing all my work because of little mistakes. Plus, I'm now going back to intentionally drop stitches so I can fix a pattern I should have built in 3 rounds ago, but forgot...

If the crocheted gloves I've made are any indication, adding fingers shouldn't be that difficult...
