Still over half the pan left - but I'm not placing any bets on how long they last. They're rather better today than yesterday. ;)

Whoops. Forgot to reply to this yesterday. As of last night, ~9pm EST, sad to say, the last half-dozen or so lemon bars were in fact devoured.

Admittedly, I did get delicious delicious lemon confection. Which was probably worth it. Still. Better with Ding!

Once uppon a time, a long, long time ago one of the SF&F mags -- Analog? -- had a spoof issue (1/2). In there was an ad for a new
role playing game called "Vita". Each character had an expected life-span of 70 years, and rather revolutionary, rather than than mailing your moves to a DM you would just interact *in real time* with other players.

To get the "ding" effect you just need to be good at self-hypnosis, and you can have a VR overlay in your field of vision. A bar in the low edge of your "screen", with score status, tools carried, warnings, etc? Personally I would like to have color coded careting of people, info-on-hover for them (names, where you met them before, which one of your courses they are taking, etc). And a 360 deg compressed viewfield in the bottom, so that I *could* have eyes in the back of my neck.
