I don't often recommend books. I'll mention if I'm quite enjoying a series, or blown away by an author. Generally, I'm rereading things these days anyway, and I don't have much time to do so, so the old books are filling in just fine, even with much of my library still in my mother's house. Do you mind if i ask you to cross-post this to Amazon, or to Goodreads or Shelfari? Or even to let me put it as a guest post on the C&G blog? Because this post says just about everything I can say about a good book - that you devour it regardless of (perhaps even despite) format/distribution method.

You can ask. I'll even probably agree. ;)

Will I need to set up accounts for these purposes? Because I'm willing to do that, but trying to figure out how to maintain continued degrees of net-[ano/pseudo]nymity. I'm entirely willing to spread the Good Word in other places, just increasingly paranoid about keeping my identities segregated, particularly as jobsearching looms.

On Amazon, it's the same account you use for normal buying purposes. On Goodreads or Shelfari, yep, you have to create an account.

It may shock some to discover I have never bought a single thing off Amazon. Ever.

Looks like I'll be creating some accounts this weekend. ;)
