I still hate resumes and cover letters with a passion. They still make me feel both stupid and unqualified for anything and everything, and this feeling is the main reason that I know I could never freelance or otherwise work a job where I had to land new clients on a regular basis ( Read more... )

Good on you about not buying tobacco.

I understand hating Resumes and Cover Letters.
Are you trying to find employment nearer to your new abode?

I'm not a geek yet Cobol on Cogs sounds pretty exciting anyway.

Yeah, I could live with the 80+ mile commute, or the crazy job, but not both at once. A friend had a line on a couple of positions opening up at his employer, but as usual, it happened during a week where I didn't feel like I could devote enough time to tailoring my resume or writing an appropriate cover letter to explain why I'm better than my resume looks. So, naturally, I got another forwarded position today, too...
