So, obviously this is not the geometric metal project mentioned in the last couple posts. It's actually something I'd worked on toward the end of last week, but the horrible weather meant that getting a reasonably good illustrative photo was next to impossible 'til yesterday.

Random update: I am trying something new in metal ornamentation, something not built on discrete units. Because I have brain weasels, it therefore involves trigonometry instead.

Uck, who wants all that bureaucracy in health care?
We can't have any government-run healthcare, because the bureaucracy would just be such a mess to deal with, right?
The companies we have now are just so damn efficient, why would we want a bureaucracy to wade through, amirite?

Many years ago, when I was still in single digits, I think, I chipped my right front tooth on the side of a pool. I never had anything done with it, it was just a bit of a chip, so I got used to it. Oh, what a difference a target audience makes.
OK, so, apparently, the second pulse mentioned by the author of the Beeb article isn't part of the transmission - it's the pulse that manipulates the data pulse, if I understand correctly, which might explain why the author just suddenly forgot it existed ( Read more... )
