How about confronting him? I know it needs some will-power to do it but I guess it also clears up things. (I'm a good one to say that seeing as I haven't done it myself yet...still two weeks to go and I'm already nervous *chews lip*)
And if he becomes insolent you get to kick his ass, hehe!

I actually would go and confront him, except for that little niggling thought in the back of my mind that is thinking "you shouldn't put yourself on the line for this guy"...like, i don't want to get hurt in the process more than i have been already...you know? besides, i've got my pride to maintain...
