Yes, you ask WHY way to much, instead you should just accept that it happens and memorize it...perhaps if you didn't ask 'why' so much you would know the MOA of ASA!!!! Anyway,I feel that our profession and our education does in fact teach us to be a lifelong learner and that's scary because right now we just want to take our classes, get good grades and graduate and at times that even seems like a LONG-TERM goal. For me, I learn the material for two reasons: one, so I can help my patients when I am a pharmacist and second, so I don't look like a dumb ass when I am working and someone asks me a question. To me, nothing is more embarrassing than someone asking you a question you don't have an answer for. I guess not having an answer is okay, you can always look it up, but I'd like to not think that my knowledge is lacking-although I know I can't know everything as you point out in your post. Kim Peak, he on the other hand can know everything, he just can't comprehend what he knows

It's been 8 months since this post and many of the events I wrote about in response to your initial post are still hot topics, including Darfur, Rising oil prices, continued strife in the Middle East, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the AIDs crisis in Africa. However, due to our current incompetent leadership none of these issues are being adequately addressed.
