Two potential gig offers on your first day - not bad! So many of my lj buddies are blogging about moving in to college, and it's making me sad because I have another year to go. *sigh* Have fun in Canada! I want to hear all about your amazing collegiate adventures in a country I've sadly never visited. Will you send me a pretty postcard? 234 Mimosa Circle, boring ol' Ridgefield.
If I can get to the post office on Monday (it's closed all weekend) I will send you one sometime this week. Otherwise, totally feel free to call me. It's not like I'm busy or anything.
Senior year's not so bad, regardless of how you deal with it. Keep your head up, don't take anything too seriously, and it'll be gone before you know it.
I'll do that! I'm tired of not talking to people. At worst, my attempts at a social life will merely be laughable.
Good advice. I will try to take it to heart. I've been moping about having to wait another year for college, but in the meanwhile, I may as well at least try to enjoy myself.
Precisely. There comes a point during the year (generally around February or March) where, regardless of how easy or hard your classes are, the entire class descends into a sort of unified apathy. It's not even that the teachers stop assigning work, it's just, by and large, the work stops getting done. (If that kind of intellectual stagnation infuriates you, do a documentary on it. Someone has to.)
Speaking of which, what teachers/schedule do you have next year?
I haven't talked to you in forever-and-a-half. I kind of miss your musings.
I plan on writing you a letter once I get out to Wisconsin. That won't be for two weeks or so, but you might as well expect it.
Oh. Another point. A very, very good friend of mine is going to McGill. Her name is Ginny Moore. She's worth talking to if you run into her, if for no other reason than to see her act like a dinosaur (the Ginnysaurus, specifically).
I must have missed something. Wisconsin? Why Wisconsin? College? Which college? Describe!
Do you know what residence the illustrious Ms. Moore is residing in?
If you write me a letter, I am almost certain to write one back. On a related note, if you leave me your phone number, or call mine, I am almost certain to call you back.
Douglas is a real place. It's a ways up Mount Royal and looks a lot like Hogwarts from the inside. I haven't even been up there this week, much less actually met anyone. But I will keep my eyes out. What's she studying?
i don't have a phone and your cell is a long-distance call, so pay phone is out. Umm ... OH but my roommate says she has a calling card so.... will call. ttyl
1.) My college experiences to date involve not having had to apply to it yet, or else I'd be glad to update you.
2.) I'm going to write you a letter, partly because you're excellent but partly just so I have an excuse to send a letter to "avenue Lionel-Groulx." Is that too selfish of me?
1. Well, you must be moving in that general direction at this point. What places most pique your interest?
2. No.
(My French professor's name is actually Jean-Francois Groulx. And my metro stop is Lionel-Groulx. It's all pretty excellent and there is nothing wrong with writing a letter to it.)

Good luck with the Midwest.

Douglas, I believe it's called? If this isn't a real place, let me know.
(Have fun in Canada. I know I always do.)
