I guess the world just isn't ready for subtitled claymation.
In happier news! I turned nineteen on Sunday. Nineteen, it turns out, is just as good as eighteen, but with less song lyrics to back it up. It's been great so far. On Saturday night Amy and I had a potluck in her apartment in honour of both our birthdays (hers is April 8). Lots of delightful people came and we played ridiculous pyschological games and told stories about border patrollers and birthday injuries and got into arguments about the validity of non-gender-specific washrooms. And there were cakes! Lots of cakes. And random people showed up, the most outlandish being none other than Scott, the ex-Barn-leader, who was apparently coming to Montreal with friends to visit one of said friends' sisters who lives on the fifth floor of my building. Which was a complete nonsequitor to everything else in my life up until that point. Also in attendance was Caitlin, a random girl from Alberta who came along with my friend Sarah, and Ken, Amy's boyfriend who, while he is not technically a Montreal resident, may as well be.
The whole event was wonderful.
This next weekend I am coming back to the States for a very brief and heavily-booked visit, after which I am bringing la Stanza back up north for a month of exams, apartment-hunting, and motorised-adventure fun.
With the exception of some contained academic woes (will Jon pass music theory? tune in next month!) life is going pretty well.
