There's a Tim Horton's in Meriden if you ever get the compulsion to check them out. Their breakfast sandwiches are fabulous. (Along with everything else.)

Of course I don't mind. However, since you have no recently active LiveJournal to be reciprocally voyeuristic at, I must ask, in the broadest and least trite way possible, how are you?

I've been fairly acceptable, thank you! I had a really quiet (though nice) summer and am happy to be back at school, although the stress of declaring a major and applying to go abroad next year is a bit much at times. I've been starting to feel actually like an adult at random, small moments, which is very very strange, so mostly I pretend it didn't happen. I think that's all I can say succinctly, without launching into a page-long comment. I'm glad to see you back on LJ, it's always fun for me to read about life and times inCanadia.

so if i want to send you a postcard, how does the whole international postage thingy work? can i just slap a stamp on, or several, or do i need to take it to the post office and have them do special things?

A compromise; you just slap two stamps on. (There is actually a specialty stamp made just for US to Canada mailings, but the few cents you save isn't worth the trip.)

I am actually making a visit to Boston (Cambridge, actually) over Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, which coincides with Columbus Day in the States. I'm going to be otherwise occupied for most of the time, but would very much fancy a visit for lunch or something along those lines. I have your phone number somewhere and will contact you about this when I know more details of my trip.
