Game Time: Thursday Morning after breakfast
With classes still cancelled Hermione needed to keep her keen mind active by feeding it with as much knowledge as she could. So after breakfast she headed back to her room to begin reading the books she had found on House Elves and other small magical creatures.
Dobby being able to transport Harry back into Hogwarts and she from near the study hall directly into the infirmary had triggered this latest desire she had for further learning. Though she had taken the books out of the library the day before she hadn’t found time to even open one. Her plan to begin reading the evening before had led to nothing after George had arrived in her room to see how she was. By the time they had finished there conversation the hour was very late and all she felt fit for was to fall into her bed and sleep. Her sleep patterns were now starting to return to normal with Harry and Ron’s return. Tonight she wouldn’t have time for indulging her mind as she had patrol duty with Montague from midnight.
Arriving back in her room the Headgirl went straight to her desk and sat down. The five books were there waiting for her egger eyes to devour them. *Faeries for Spells: Learn what faeries are good for different spell workings* She pulled this from the small pile and placed it next to her, thinking that would be a good place to start to see if any of those spells explained how Dobby could transport people the way he had Harry and herself. The other books *Protection of your Home, Protection and healing of Animals, Protection and healing of People* and then there was the largest and heaviest of them all *Encyclopaedia of Fairies and other Supernatural Creatures by one Katherine Briggs* Now that would be useful as it contained information detailed information on Brownies and she knew from her time promoting and researching for S.P.E.W. when she was 14 that Dobby like other House Elves are simular to Brownies.
As she opened the first book a contented smile came to Hermione’s lips. Something good to get her teeth into and her mind buzzing. How she had missed that over the days her friends were missing. Which reminded her, she hadn’t seen Remus since his return, later she must seek him out and see how he was feeling. She had deeply missed him too…
But for now back to the books.
