Yeah I know Cornell is a long shot, but I was reading along and I have many advantages:

- Work experience in the hospitality field (3 yrs and variety of hotels)
- Display leadership (sup for being a bad ass Prez so far)
- and be active with the community (doing plenty)

But what hurts me is the GPA. Like I said, I wasn't focused with school my first few years, but now I am and I'm pulling good grades while being active with clubs.

But I'm still giving it a shot. Its like students applying for Berkely. Berk is a long shot, but that's why they apply to other UC schools for back up. UNLV is my UCLA/Irvine for the moment. And from the looks of it, I'm very confident on UNLV. I surpass their requirements.

But we shall see as time goes. I'm applying for the 08 fall semester (for financial aid purposes) and heck ill try it for spring to know ahead of time if I'm accepted. If so, hello Cornell!

even though yer gpa may hurt your chances for Cornell, just play up everything else that you have done well...if yer grades were consistently low or are really not even up to par, then you should provide a small explanation in your application but then end with why and how you shine now.

if you need any other help with transferring or apps let me know. :) id love to help

also...when it comes to any school (whether its an ivy or just regular univ) transfers usually have a better shot at getting in anywhere than straight outta high school peepz.
