RF 2009

As some of you know, i went to rainfurrest this past weekend, out in seattle.

Wednesday: Drove down to Chicago hostel(IE, Furrball/Evan/Midwest household) to spend the night. I want to thank you guys very much for your hospitality and housing. As well as the rides to and from the airport, again, thank you.

Thursday: 5 am, woke up, quick shower and headed to the airport. there i got on a plane and sat in a chair for 4 hours. Who knew that sitting in a chair for 4 freaking hours was tiring.

When we had landed I got off the plane, got my bag from claim, then whipped out my phone to text my ride, as i was halfway through the message,Thumper walked by, and surprised me. :)

A short ride to the hotel, a few trips back the the car, and some light huggles before we headed off for lunch at the mall where we met Tibolf and Fuzzy. Also, Sbarro's stuffed pizza was fucking great. The rest of the day was spent meeting people, and enjoying everyone's company. The swig of Bacon flavored vodka, which EVERYONE hated, i thought was actually pretty good.

Friday: I suited, learned to dance with Thump, and ate a bit, all in all a good day. The highlight, was when Thump asked me to be his boyfriend, and I accepted wholeheartedly. I love you very much bunny, and I cant wait to be with you again. The GoH dinner was a riot, to me at least, i loved it. And being able to sit at a table with Yippie, Kage, and all of the other higher-ups in the fandom, just unreal.

Saturday: ARRRR!!!!
International talk like a pirate day,
We woke up late, and a massive stack of pancakes, and quickly hauled ass to get my suit and jolly roger on, before getting to the fursuit games.

Zombie Tag:
one person starts as "IT" and then zombie walks and tags the others, thus having an ever expanding number of taggers, until there is one left standing.

Round 1: Nekomon was "it" to start. A few seconds into the round, i dove beneath the table, which had a drape over it, concealing me. Avery tried to barricade himself behind the desk, but to no avail, I was sole survivor.

Round 2: I don't remember who started, but because people probably expected me to hide neath the table again, i ran to the back of the room, and dove between the rows of chairs, undoubtedly laying on some peoples feet. I was 2nd to last that round, neko being found last, in the same spot i was.... *shakes fist and giggles*

Dizzy Sword:
2 teams, bat relay, you know the drill

I spun, got dizzy, then on my way back, i see blurs of Bluff and Avery, so i try to side dodge to avoid them....that doesn't work when thee is a wall of suiters in your way. so i lost a foot paw and crawled back to the line.

Plush pass: pass

Musical Chairs: Round by round went by, each time more and more risk of being eliminated. Even at the final 4, there were 2 chairs, and 4 suits. Somehow, there was no contest for the chair i sat in. Also, a chair was broken earlier in the game.

Thus it was Avery(croc) and Myself.

We walked around for what seemed like hours....then out of the blue, i see a Nekomon and Bluff run at me, and steal my chair, i fought for it with my life, tghe music stopped, and a chair was placed in front of Avery, allowing him to sit. Well played my friend. Also, Bluff(Arrow) sorry for the injury!

Donned even more pirate garb for the parade, and danced my little tail off to some EarVelvet.

Sunday: Pack and leave, went to Vancouver to stay with the bunny for one final night, where we dined on sushi and nommed some blizzards afterwords. Hottubbed and sat and talked, watched some TV, the works.

Monday: Re-pack, and headed out the door before trading a certain garment with each other. 30 min flight to Seattle, then a 4h30m flight back to Chicago, then a 1h30m drive home, followed by an evening of PCD.

All in all, i want to say that this weekend was made wonderful by every single person i Met, and by one who was already in my heart to begin with. Thumper, Bunny, I love you, and i hope nothing will ever go awry between us, i sense too much compassion and understanding for it to. We have a long road ahead of us, but the fog is clearing. I cant wait to see you in November.
