Synopsis: Voile, in all of her very quiet return, makes a point to scarcely glance over the archives. The recent passing of Cyrus's birthday catches her attention, and being Voile, she decides she must pull a typical stunt and pay him a visit, no matter how extended or brief.

How do you give birthday wishes to someone whom you haven't seen for a while? It's like being caught running away from home and returning with your tail between your legs. You stand aside and listen to your parents chide you for doing something so silly.
Voile paced back and forth in front of the door. She'd seen it quite a few times, though none so recently. It was more like something she saw in her dreams. It was more like something her memories dragged up. Not necessarily bad memories. It was something akin to a series of learning experiences. She was just a child and everything turned around her, never stopped, and all she could do was take from the past and remember not to repeat her mistakes.
In her hands, she clenched a bouquet of gardenia flowers, pleasantly potent, white, and seemingly peaceful flowers she'd thought. It was much too cold to hope for flowers to spring from the ground, but she'd gotten them along the way from the heart of the city. Taking a moment to compose herself, dust off her skirts, straighten her hair, and generally put herself together, she freed a hand and knocked upon his door.
