".....is it going to be like last year?" Sonny asked Red quietly, remembering that horrible couple of months that Sasha and Vinnie spent recouperating and everyone being completely miserable. Of course, he wasn't sure how much of that series of events Red even remembered, being his memory was apparently hazy. Really, all he wanted was a little assurance that things were going to be better this time. That Marie was OK, and that things were going to get back to normal quickly.

This situation was eating him from the inside out. All he could do was put a hand on Sonny's shoulder and grasp it tightly.

They were still roommates and so when Slippy found out that Marie had been rushed to the Pokecenter, he became worried and decided to pay his acquaintance a visit.
He slowly approached Marie's bed, a get-well present in his arms. It was a tin filled with berries. Slippy didn't know what type Marie liked the most so he had gotten various kinds.
"Hey."

However, he wasn't expecting him to show up to visit him while he was weak. With barely-opened-eyes, Marie watched Slippy slowly enter the room. He felt incredibly embarrassed to be seen looking so weak in front of someone who wasn't a teammate. He had wanted to bolt up in bed to show Slippy how fine he felt, but his ribs were sore and moving felt like such a hassle.
Instead, he opted for a weak, "Hey," in reply. He cast his eyes at the tin Slippy had brought, then back at Slippy. "Thanks."

"Your welcome," he replied with a friendly grin on his face to mask his concern. "I didn't know what kind of berries ya' like so I got you a whole bunch of types!"
He placed the present on the counter next to the bed and took a seat.
"So how are you doin'?"

"I'm fine," he replied. Technically, it wasn't a lie. He was feeling decent, and most of his injuries were healing up alright. "You didn't have to visit me, you know," he blurted out nervously after a short pause.

The angry Russian shoved the door open to Volgin's hospital room, (after badgering a nurse with questions and then ignoring her as she tried to stop him) eyes narrowed and teeth grit.
"YEVGENY."
Reply
"Ivan," his voice strained, his Russian a pathetic mewl. "/Beautiful Ivan... You're alive! I thought I had killed you!/"

"/What did I tell you?! WHAT. DID. I SHOW. YOU? Do those scars mean nothing to you?! I told you I wanted to live in peace! Why did you pick a fight with another Pokémon?!/"

She wasn't going to leave his little side until he had risen again. She would wait forever if she had to. His life -- his entire team's life -- they were all so precious to her. It was odd, how because of one member's influence, they had all found their way into her normally unshakable heart. It was so strange, but so good for her to feel this way. She couldn't stop their lives from moving forward or getting into situations like this, nor could she prevent anything from happening. It had to happen.
Everything has to happen.
It was out of her jurisdiction for it to not happen.
She hated it.
However, while she was waiting for him to stir, she sat in a chair beside his bed, staring out of the window. Snow was quietly falling again, and she was slowly being overcome with thoughts. Winter was such a brute to her...

When she came in, however, Marie was sleeping. He had finally regained consciousness late the night before. He had woken up completely terrified, disoriented, and incredibly sore. After the excitement of being awake for an hour or so, though, Marie fell asleep.
However, after a few minutes, he opened his eyes. And he looked at Dana.

Right about now, she's probably going to need a bit of a notice that he's even there in the conscious realm to be honest.

If he had it entirely his way, only his team would have visited him... Not that he didn't mind the company from his friends, but he couldn't help feeling outrageously weak. Especially in front of Dana, Marie felt self-conscious. He sighed quietly to himself and added, "...Are you okay?"
Marie, that was supposed to be someone else's line.

Bulba had only stayed at the Pokemon Center the first day for a short while. He was there long enough to see Marie safely in the hands of people that knew what they were doing. Long enough to borrow the PC to find Raikov's number. Have a terse conversation with the man about the other who was hopefully already being rushed off to the hospital. No, he didn't know what happened. As far as he could tell, something had gone wrong. No, he didn't know what. End of conversation. He stayed just until Red had shown up. He left with Green. It hadn't been a long stay ( ... )

Someone that smelled pretty good had walked into the room. At first, Marie mistook the scent for Vinnie. It wasn't long before he realized, no. No, that was not Vinnie.
Marie opened his eyes and looked, rather annoyed, at the fucking green and yellow hair beside his bed. No go away no one wants you here and also I hate you.

"How are you doing? Glad to see you're still up for glaring, at least."

"Fine," Marie replied as shortly as possible.
Although he wasn't sure- the details were incredibly fuzzy- the Squirtle vaguely remembered Bulba being involved with him somehow ending up at the PokeCenter. It wasn't his fault, no. The pain he was feeling was familiar, but it wasn't the itchy gross feeling of a grass-related attack. He wondered, in the back of his mind, if Bulba had been the one who delivered him to the PokeCenter. That idea made him want to throw a giant fit, so he tried to keep it out of mind.
