Ah, yes, we've NEVER had any anti-US sentiment in the last 8 years, have we?
Amendment 54... that's the one that eliminates the TABOR spending cap to spend the extra money on education (at least that's what it'll be this time around)? Yeah, that's a bit of a disappointment.
I think I voted for that for that amendment 46, too, so see, we're not totally different in political views.
Yeah, I voted yes on 46 and 50... and that's about it. The rest either seemed to restrictive on how people can spend their money or some sort of raise in taxes. I never vote for a raise--I believe in eliminating wasteful spending before raising taxes (which I haven't seen since I've been politically active).
You prefer someone completely in the tank with the Big Oil companies in Senate?
Look at the economy. Obama can't screw things up any worse than Bush has already done in the last 8 years. This election (as far as candidates) is a mandate from the masses that Republican policies haven't been working, and people are ready for something different.
As far as amendments are concerned, I'm disappointed that a lot of the gay marriage bans passed personally. And I'll tell you why 202 failed: Who do you think picks the produce in your supermarket or builds your houses? What happens when you eliminate that cheap labor pool? Capitalism at work.
ps Obama is not a true socialist. Just ask the real Socialist candidate.
pps we'll agree to disagree at this point, I'm sure.
"remember FDR's "New Deal" that kept the U.S. in the Great Depression nine more years?"
Interesting analysis. One I don't think many historians would agree with.
Obama and Udall are hardly anti-US terrorists... but I doubt I'll be able to convince you of that.
And having managed a Taco Bell for 6 years, the only responsible good workers willing to work those jobs at those wages were Mexicans, illegal or otherwise. I also have a friend who's from Wray, and he basically affirms that the farms out there depend on migrant workers (mostly illegals) to work the farms. They'll work for a much lower wage. So while illegals are willing to work for a much lower wage than the rest of us, there will always be an illegal immigrant problem. No amount of legislation will fix that. It's already illegal for them to hire illegals in the first place...
It's interesting you're so against Obama's financial policies since you stand to gain the most from it...
I never called Obama or Udall terrorists. I said they hold anti-U.S. sentiment.
I won't accept or endorse legislation if I feel it is fundamentally wrong, no matter how much I stand to gain from it. And you don't have to worry about my opinion, anyway, as the minority of politicians feel the same way--Obama won't do much about it and McCain actually proposed to grant illegals amnesty a while back (which would have solved absolutely nothing).

I guess that Hell just froze over. We have a NON-WHITE american president! Honestly, I didn't think this would happen during my lifetime and I'm only 28. This is really something

I can tell you, I'd much rather be completely wrong about the man and swallow my pride. Maybe he'll go down as the most popular, level-headed president in the history of the U.S. Time will tell, but my prediction is that he will not be elected for a second term

I don't defend Bush on anything except his war on terror (and invasion of Iraq). He is perfectly capable of defending himself.
But apparently enough eyes weren't opened after 9/11 and Bush's reaction, since our new president couldn't even decide his stance on Russia's war with Georgia.
