So I got a scope put on my .22 LR this weekend, and then took it out to a friend's house to try it out. Pretty good little gun, but the best part was getting shoot my brother's M4, as well as some 30.06's. Not sure why, but I love bolt action rifles, even if they generally carry only four to five rounds.

Got a chance to fire my rifle today. The weather was dreadful, but my older brother finally bought his M4 and INSISTED that we go shooting today. I've gotten a lot of advice lately that has suggested that I continue in the teaching field. I appreciate the advice, but for some reason I still feel that I'm not supposed to go into education. I took the GRE last Thursday, and my results were less than satisfactory. The scores for the GRE are ranged from 200 to 800, and I think around 700 is typically considered a good score. In verbal I scored 550 and in the math (quantitative) section I scored 660--very low for somebody who has studied math the past four years. I sincerely doubt I ( Read more... )

Egad, I'm taking the GRE tomorrow, and I've barely studied.

Off to take a practice test.

So I got my old painting job today. Looks like I'll be painting for a while, probably until I go back to school. Don't know what I'm going back for, but it's feeling like math by itself isn't specialized enough to really land me a good career.
