Okay I didn't read the subject an spent the first half of the post being like, well yes, that is how you'd make a peanut-butter and pickle sandwich...

Are you by chance taking a programming class? I just started a computational linguistics class (which is essentially an intro to programming class), and probably this is exactly what I'm going to have to figure out later on. I will study your algorithm for peanut butter and pickle sandwiches hard, in the hopes that this example will help me understand what the hell I'm doing later on in my coursework ;-D.
