I've got three exams on Friday, and frankly, I don't give a damn, so I'm updating LJ ( Read more... )

I'm going home for the first time in 7 weeks (I know it has been longer for some of you)
yes, it has been like an eternity, but you're probably referring to others besides me (such as phil).

What is it like to have a boyfriend and not be scared to tell your parents?
I wouldn't know, but if I did get a boyfriend, I would definitely have a hard time telling my parents...believe me.

HARRY POTTER comes out on FRIDAY!
OMG. I'm sooo excited. I cannot even wait to see it.

I love you and miss you and I hope that all of your finals go well. I have confidence that you will do amazingly well.

Hehe, I went on a secret trip to Indiana with Phil and friends, so it's only been a mere couple weeks since I've seen him. =P

Telling my parents might never be an option. =\

AH I GOTTA GET TICKETS FOR HP TODAY.

I can't wait to see you Mo! I'll be in on Tuesday for band (making up for lost time, haha), and I'll have my awesommme camera and I can pictures! :-D I love you!!!

I mean, tell me, what IS it like to pick your own major?

It's no different. I chose CS without any parental shoving and my parents still expect me to do my best. Actually, I daresay they expect me to do better than my best, since it's something I actually want to do.

As for seeing my parents again, I'm happy to go home, if for no other reasont than to get home-cooked meals. For the most part, I get along with my parents though. Plus, I'll be seeing other family members I get to see only a few times a year, so I'm sure I will find the upcoming break enjoyable.

I hope everyone comes home safely from college! :)

Thanks, I'll need all the hope I can get. Since the entire UP consists of two-lane divided highways through the wildnerness, if something happens, I'd say the odds are stacked against me. Especially now that it's November.

I suppose that's true...when you pick your own major, you're kind of on your own terms and your parents are just waiting for the moment to say, "HA, I told you so!".

I bet you're happy to go home. :) You've been up there quite a while. And the few things I am looking forward to are home-cooked meals, sitting on my ass with some hardcore cable TV (no cable for frosh, available only in apartments, and non-cable TV isn't available either), and maybe napping for hours on end like good old times. :)

Good luck coming home! May the weather be good. :)

Oh yeah, I'm SURE you don't give a damn about your exams, Miss Smarty-Smartpants.

Are your parents really forcing you to pick a certain major? Because that is not cool.

why is it that in the midst of studying hard core, livejournal always sounds like the best thing in the world?

I am pretty psyched for Harry Potter too! A bunch of friends and I are going Thursday for the midnight show, despite the fact that I have a 10:20 class the next morning... We'll see how that works out.

Hope you week and break are AWESOME! I am thankful for Anita!

I know! Reading friends' entries over and over...it's obsessive indeed.

LUCKY that you're going. I've got THREE exams on Friday, otherwise I would've gladly gone out Thursday night to see it!

I hope your week and break are awesome too. :) And I am thankful for you too, Liz! :)

Haha...I might stop by. I'm trying to avoid McD, but lately I've been kind of missing seeing coworkers, so maybe I'll stop by. I told Bacon I'd see her too, so if your schedules coincide anytime, I'll definitely drop in.
