I got fired for the first time in my life today. Taking long lunches and breaks throughout the day seems to count as 'falsifying information' on your time card at Bunim-Murray. Even though everyone does it. Literally. That's not an excuse.

I didn't get the job I was really excited about, and I asked myself the same question. Now what?

Now, I am tested. I was extremely fortunate when I first moved out here. 2 paying gigs within 3 months of moving to LA with no contacts? That's ridiculous, entertainment-industry-wise.
Now, I suppose it's my time to see how I can manage when things are less fortunate. Like when there's no work, or I have to pick up a survival job. (which, I think, is even harder to get out here than a film industry job.) Retail clothing stores often ask for a headshot out here. No joke.

Basically, if I can't get a job within a month or so, I'll flat-out have to come back to MI. Not that it would be terrible, by any means, but I know there sure as hell aren't a lot of jobs there, either. Especially film-y ones.
