It is geared more to younger readers, but it is still very good and requires very little brain power to understand and read. Bloody Bones
Another good book in the Anita Blake series, keeping the intense plot and fast pace that the previous four had. It has some unfortunate typos every once in awhile, but nothing too bad or distracting.
Overall, a good book. And one that takes hardly any time to read (because you just don't want to stop) -
Coldheart Canyon
This book wasn't very creepy, despite what anyone says. It was mostly fantasy, but in a real-life setting. The main thing in this book is the "Hunt", which is a magical room that seems to create a crazy, freaky world, aptly called "Devil's Country".

Keeping Faith
Keeping Faith is about family struggles, as a family is broken apart by an affair and the young child suddenly begins talking to God and developing stigmata.
Intense. It has a custody battle in it, as well as multiple struggles through emotions and relationships.

Tallgrass
This book was very good. It kept your interest in it for the entire thing, not letting it drop for even a paragraph. It wasn't even a typical coming-of-age story, in that the change was pretty subtle and not annoying.

This book is the fourth book in the Anita Blake series, and her moral ponderings begin to come into play as she and Richard, her lycanthrope boyfriend, get serious.
