My MIL is threatening to climb the steps tomorrow and see the finished apt. So I can commiserate some.
The downfall of moving here, I know, was that the MIL would want to come often.

Oh my. That does not sound like any relaxing will actually be achieved this weekend. Bummer.

Can't you get your hubby to make excuses? Or, if that isn't an option, to protect you from the nastiness?

I don't know how you deal witth this stuff. Makes me afraid of getting married and having inlaws of my own. Maybe being single is a good thing.

Good luck. Hope they leave quickly.

There is no tear in the space-time continuum. I've looked.

Hide the alcohol- from them. Good luck. Zone them out as much as possible and take a mental escape whenever possible. They WILL leave. Repeat it. Believe it.

In-laws and fish...they stink after 3 hours (I know the saying is 'after 3 days' but who can wait that long?

Can you enjoy the few you can tolerate and kill the other bastards with *kindness*? Or at least with insipid patronization?
