So
IGN posted a
list of the top fifty unanswered questions in Lost. Unfortunately, some of them have already been answered. Warning, geek ahead.
#50: The Others and the Outside World - Good question, how do the Others have access to television, information about Jack, and Sawyer's real name? And why didn't Ben get off the island to get his spinal surgery?
#49: Who Is the Guy with the Eye Patch? - I personally thought this should have been higher up on the list. As he was just introduced, this is a lot bigger of a mystery than some other things are. He's probably living in another hatch somewhere. Good question.
#48: Getting to the Prison Island - I don't think this is a very big question at all. They were obviously drugged, as can be seen the A Tale of Two Cities. I don't think there is a mystery here, people are looking too far for answers.
#47: The Quote on Eko's Stick: John 3:05 - Simply put, I don't think the John 3:05 has anything to do with "Lift up your eyes and look north." I could be wrong, but I think the John reference is just a coincidence.
#46: The Four-Toed Statue Foot - Yes, what is this?
#44: The Cable - Never thought about this. I guess now that the cable provides power for the Others?
#43: Compass Bearing 325 - Micheal is coming back, Cuse and Lindoff have said. But is it because he is brought back to the island, or because he returns to help his friends?
#42: The ? Hatch a.k.a. "The Pearl" - There are a few good questions here, like was the team in here actually the experiment, not the ones in the other stations? Why did the entering of the code print out in the Pearl? I don't think these questions will be answered, however, they're not very big.
#41: The Radio Tower - Another non-mystery. The tower was built to project the numbers, Rousseau changed it to project her distress call.
#40: The Skeletons in the Cave - Non-mystery. Dead people found on the island, woo.
#39: Why Didn't Ben Take Jack Earlier? - Good question. They could have taken Sawyer, Kate, and Jack earlier, but they would have had to take Locke too, and he wouldn't go back like Hurley did. Anyway, good question.
#38: The Significance of 108 Minutes - Uh, 4+8+15+16+23+42. I think it's that simple.
#37: How Long Have the Events on the Island Been Going On? - Not that big a question right now. The Black Rock grounded on the island about 1881, but that could have just been a fierce storm.
#36: Who Is Christian's Daughter? - Interesting question, but they might just never touch on this again.
#35: Where Is the Pearl's Crew? - In reference to the burning cigarette, good question.
#34: Black & White Symbolism - What? This isn't even a question. It's like asking "Why do some episodes begin with close-ups of eyes? What does this have to do with the overarching story?" It's just a motif, roll with it.
#33: Jack Tossed from the Plane - Jack was on the plane, he's probably not an other. I don't think this is important.
#32: The Supply Drop - Good question.
#31: Why Couldn't Desmond Leave? - Another good one.
#30: Ben's Always Lived on the Island - I'm fairly certain Ben can be trusted about this, but the question is, where are his parents?
#29: Where Was Desmond Hiding His Boat? - Another interesting question, I don't think it will be answered, though.
#28: Survivors Captured by the Others - Damon and Carlton have said that we'll find out what happened to the children, at least, this season.
#27: The Dharma Shark - Probably kept where Jack is kept now. Dharma experiment, surely.
#26: Libby - Again, Damon and Carlton have said they're not done with Libby yet.
Basically, Lost theories need a cut with
Occam's Razor.
