What drives you?
What keeps you going?

If you're in school, what's motivated you to study hard, get good grades, or do you feel as though school comes naturally to you?

If you're not in school, are you happier? Do you feel fulfilled? If you've been in school and dropped out do you have intentions of going back? If so, why??

I'm really quite

For me school is a means to an ends. I'm luck enough to've always had a general idea of what I want to do. School is hard because it's external authorities controlling my life/self image/schedule/etc but it helps to remember that living up to my potential by doing homework isn't submitting to the man or anything but rather seizing the reins. It also helps to remeber how much the structure helps me stay motivated and engaged. I hate school as much as I love it.

Are you thinking of coming back to UNL soon? Regardless, if/when/whichever school you might return to: study club really helps me and you've got a standing invitation.

When I was in school I was never really motivated to study hard, as I always did extremely well without effort. I've definitely been happier not in school than in school, but I still think about going back every single day. I think I get impatient with school, because I learn things really quickly, and want to go at my pace, not theirs. Also, I have no idea what I would study. I'm interested in, and like doing, and am able to do lots of things, but I get disgusted with the thought of having to do those things in order to make a living, which is probably part of the reason I don't use the degree that I have (I did graduate, not drop out, for whatever it's worth). So far I've been mostly content with doing work that I don't mind doing which provides enough for me to get by, and then doing the things that I really enjoy and find fulfilling the rest of the time, but every now and then I do sort of long for the ever-mysterious "job to which you look forward to going."
